Job description

The Need:

We are seeking a Digital Commerce Manager – Retail Partnership candidate to serve as an embedded resource supporting one of our client's national retail partners. This role will be responsible for driving online business growth by enhancing digital presence, optimizing the consumer experience, and accelerating online sales and market share expansion across the U.S. The position will be based at the retailer’s headquarters to ensure close collaboration and alignment with internal teams and key stakeholders.

Goal of the mission is to grow the partner's market share as well as growing our client's brands share within the partner's ecosystem.

Location: South Bend, IN (Onsite)
Contract: 
Initial 1-Year term with right to extend. CTH is likley for right candidate after 6-12 months in position.
Work Status: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (US Citizen preferred or permanent resident Green Card) 

Day-to-day job responsibilities:

  • Strategic Relationship & Growth

    • Serve as a digital partnership lead between our client and their partner, identifying and executing growth opportunities.
    • Provide strategic insights and content recommendations to improve website conversion.
    • Support execution of Customer Marketing Plan initiatives and act as the primary contact for new digital initiatives.
  • Customer Experience & Conversion

    • Align our client's digital presence with their partner's customer journey (Welcome, Evaluation, Purchase).
    • Improve conversion by optimizing taxonomy, reducing friction, minimizing drop-off, and enhancing Product Detail Pages (PDPs).
  • Operations & Business Growth

    • Drive growth in strategic categories and identify digital innovation opportunities.
    • Maintain accurate product content, catalogs, taxonomy, and new product setup to drive traffic, engagement, and conversion.
    • Monitor and reduce out-of-stock issues while closing assortment gaps and expanding long-tail offerings.
    • Improve operational efficiency between our client and their retail partner to reduce costs and enhance collaboration.
    • May engage with team over time on key operational functions, including purchase orders, inventory, forecasting, and allocation to improve product availability.
  • Data Partnership, Reporting & Insights
    • Share monthly reporting with agreed-upon KPIs to drive transparency and accountability.
    • Analyze campaign and operational performance and share findings to inform future strategies.
    • Build upon category trends to enhance product mix, positioning and product development
    • Create scorecard to monitor business progress and performance
    • Organize QBR (Quarterly Business Reviews) with key stakeholders

Must Have Requirements:   All are required unless otherwise noted.

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field, with 5+ years of eCommerce and/or digital marketing experience.
  • Strong understanding of online retail marketing strategies and best practices.
  • Excellent collaboration skills, with demonstrated ability to create and deliver executive-level presentations and communications (English required).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience leveraging Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, and The Trade Desk for performance analysis, and managing campaigns through Google Ads, Google Merchant Center, and Meta Ads.
  • Experience maintaining product content, catalogs, taxonomy structures, and new product setup.
  • Experience managing purchase orders, inventory, forecasting, and allocations is a plus.

Work Schedule:

  • Normal work hours 40 hrs/ week Monday – Friday 

Travel Requirements:

  • Limited. This role initially requires full-time onsite work at our client's partner headquarters. Once fully trained and proficient in the role, employees may be eligible for a hybrid schedule of 3 days onsite and 2 days remote. The onboarding plan includes one week onsite at our client's headquarters, followed by one week fully remote, before transitioning to full-time onsite work at the partner headquarters.
