Job description

Position Title: Director, Digital Fundraising
Department: Business Development

Position Overview:
The Director, Digital Fundraising will drive the development and execution of integrated digital fundraising strategies that expand donor engagement, strengthen online revenue growth, and advance Vibrant Emotional Health's mission across digital platforms. This role oversees multi channel fundraising campaigns including email marketing, social media fundraising, paid digital advertising, peer to peer initiatives, fundraising microsites, and online donation experiences. Working closely with Marketing & Communications, Technology, Individual Giving, and Data Science teams, the Director will drive audience segmentation, donor journeys, personalization strategies, and digital conversion optimization to maximize engagement and fundraising performance. The role also manages digital fundraising budgets, analytics, and agency partnerships while ensuring campaigns align with Vibrant's brand voice and organizational positioning.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement multi-channel digital fundraising strategies, including email campaigns, social media fundraising, online ads, and donation landing page optimization to meet revenue targets.
  • Ensure fundraising campaigns and donor communications align with Vibrant's brand voice, messaging framework, and organizational positioning.
  • Partners with internal stakeholders on audience modeling across social channels and online giving platforms.
  • Manage outside vendors by establishing strict contracts with clear KPIs, maintaining regular communication to ensure brand alignment, and independently tracking campaign ROI.
  • Partner cross-functionally to align fundraising initiatives with broader organizational campaigns, audience engagement efforts, and content priorities.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing & Communications team across marketing, digital, and creative to align fundraising campaigns with organizational marketing strategies, channel strategy, integrated campaign planning, and audience targeting to maximize engagement and conversion.
  • Lead audience modeling and donor segmentation in partnership with the TECH data science team.
  • Manage peer-to-people fundraising activations, fundraising microsites, and digital supporter engagement initiatives.
  • Develop, execute, and optimize digital fundraising calendars and campaign timelines to support annual fundraising priorities.
  • Create and manage social media and digital fundraising budgets, including media spend, agency relationships, and performance metrics.
  • Build, test, and optimize donation funnels, landing pages, email journeys, and digital giving experiences to improve donor acquisition, retention, and conversion rates.
  • Develop and manage the digital fundraising budget inclusive of agency fees and media spend.
  • Develop digital tools, fundraising assets, and campaign content to support Individual Giving and peer to peer fundraisers.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on campaign performance metrics, donor behavior, and digital fundraising trends, providing insights and recommendations for continuous growth and optimization.
  • Track and analyze performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for continuous growth.
  • Collaborate with the Technology Fundraising Solutions Manager to optimize digital fundraising platforms, integrations, and emerging revenue opportunities.
  • Work across teams to support segmentation, automation, personalization, and donor journey strategies.
  • Support storytelling, short form content, and digital fundraising messaging across channels when needed.
  • Develop creative concepts for digital fundraising campaigns, including video and multimedia fundraising content.
  • Stay informed on digital fundraising trends, platform updates, and emerging best practices to continuously improve campaign performance and donor engagement.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Proven track record in donor acquisition and hitting digital revenue targets.
  • Strong financial acumen in managing and maintaining departmental budgets
  • Ability to work in high performing teams
  • Familiarity with data analytics tools and comfort working alongside data science and engineering teams.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience, with proven success in digital fundraising
  • 5+ years of experience in digital fundraising, email campaigns, social media strategy, and performance tracking, securing donations exceeding $200,000
  • Experience developing integrated multi channel digital fundraising campaigns
  • Experience managing external agencies and digital marketing vendors
  • Experience with A/B testing, audience modeling, and paid social or search campaign management
  • Experience with Salesforce integration and donor retention strategies preferred
  • Ability to work EST hours

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Will frequently communicate over video calls with internal and external stakeholders.
