Digital Forensics Cybersecurity Advisor
The Opportunity:
To achieve an organization's mission, leaders need strong team members who can support digital forensics. Whether investigating an incident or proposing a solution to mitigate risk, our clients need an advisor who can help advise clients on comprehensive digital forensics strategies. That is why we need you, an experienced Digital Forensics Cybersecurity Advisor who can provide high-quality support.
As part of our team, you'll serve as a strategic technical advisor to the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H), helping conceptualize, create, and execute advanced government-funded research and development programs to accelerate better health outcomes for everyone. Work with world-class scientists and engineers to support the development of high-impact solutions to society's most challenging health problems. Leverage technical expertise to provide strategic assessments of new technologies in support to senior ARPA-H decision makers. Maintain responsibility for producing and presenting findings and recommendations to a team of colleagues and clients on the feasibility and potential impact of future research programs, assisting with the management of current programs, and facilitating commercialization of successfully developed technologies.
You'll serve as a Digital Forensics Cybersecurity Advisor helping clients to understand issues related to cybersecurity and investigate any incidents. Your attention to detail, flexibility, communication skills, understanding of the client's mission, and problem-solving will enable the mission's success.
What You'll Work On:
  • Work holistically across ARPA-H to support digital forensics and investigate cybersecurity incidents
  • Investigate physical and virtual assets to support security and integrity, and investigate across Windows, MacOS, and iOS Operating Systems
  • Conduct investigations using Microsoft Defender, CrowdStrike, and common digital forensics tools
  • Work within Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS) to assess risk posture of technical projects
  • Identify and evaluate risks associated with ongoing technical projects and programs, and propose solutions to mitigate risks
  • Build strong relationships and collaborate within broad, multidisciplinary teams, and clearly communicate complex cybersecurity concepts to varied audiences

You Have:
  • 5+ years of experience managing evidence collection, preservation, and chain of custody, and conducting digital forensic investigations
  • 5+ years of experience in the development of standard operating procedures and playbooks for conducting digital forensic investigations
  • Experience performing forensic imaging and analysis of physical virtual devices
  • Experience coordinating with legal, privacy, and incident response teams during an investigation
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Architecture, Data Science, or Digital Forensics

Nice If You Have:
  • 7+ years of experience managing evidence collection, preservation, and chain of custody, and conducting digital forensic investigations
  • 7+ years of experience in the development of standard operating procedures and playbooks for conducting digital forensic investigations
  • Experience with U.S. government or R&D health organizations
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
  • Ability to manage multiple short- and long-term projects effectively
  • Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Master's degree in a relevant field

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $69,400.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
