We are seeking a highly motivated early-career engineer to join our growing Digital Ecosystem team. Originally focused on Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), our organization is expanding to shape the future of enterprise digital engineering, connected data environments, modern engineering workflows, and AI-enabled decision support across the business.
This role is ideal for a recent graduate who is excited by complex systems, eager to learn quickly, and motivated to help transform how engineering and program teams work together in a modern digital environment. The selected candidate will support initiatives spanning MBSE, digital engineering, data integration, process modernization, automation, AI-enabled workflows, and cross-functional collaboration.
This position offers significant exposure to enterprise-level strategy, modern engineering tools and infrastructure, and the opportunity to help define next-generation digital ecosystem capabilities across engineering, program management, manufacturing, mission assurance, and operations.
The Engineering, Science and Analysis (ESA) Strategic Capabilities Unit comprises the technical talent and organizational leadership that enables the successful delivery of high-impact discriminating technologies for our customers' missions. Our collaborative, cross-functional teams are committed to innovation, integrity, continual learning and strong execution.
What You'll Do:
  • Support development and deployment of enterprise digital engineering and MBSE capabilities.
  • Assist with implementation and improvement of digital ecosystem processes, workflows, and tools.
  • Contribute to systems modeling, data integration, digital thread, and automation projects
  • Help identify opportunities to improve engineering efficiency through AI, scripting, automation, and modern digital practices.
  • Collaborate across engineering, IT, program management, manufacturing, and other business functions to support integrated digital workflows.
  • Support organizational change management activities, communications, training, and user engagement efforts.
  • Participate in development of standards, best practices, and reusable patterns for digital engineering implementation.
  • Help evaluate and prototype emerging technologies related to AI, automation, MBSE, data management, and digital transformation.
  • Support preparation of technical briefings, demonstrations, metrics, and communications for leadership and stakeholder engagement.
  • Learn and grow within a highly collaborative team focused on enterprise modernization and innovation.
  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site three or more days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.
Working Conditions:
  • Work is performed in an office, laboratory, production floor, or cleanroom, outdoors or remote research environment.
  • May occasionally work in production work centers where use of protective equipment and gear is required.
  • May access other facilities in various weather conditions.

Required Skills and Education
  • BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field is required.
  • Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
  • Solid systems thinking mindset and ability to understand complex interconnected problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt in fast-moving technical environments.
  • Interest in helping shape and improve how engineering and program teams work.

  • Familiarity with scripting or programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
  • Experience using AI-assisted development or automation tools.
  • Exposure to data analytics, APIs, databases, or system integration concepts.
  • Internship, research, academic project, or extracurricular experience involving complex technical systems.
  • Interest in aerospace, defense, advanced technology, or enterprise-scale engineering environments.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related technical field is preferred.
