Description

GXM is seeking a Digital Engineer to join our team to support advanced defense and space-related mission programs focused on Command and Control (C2), mission systems integration, cloud modernization, and enterprise capability delivery.ย 


The selected candidate will support development and maintenance of digital engineering artifacts that enable system visualization, architecture analysis, requirements management, and technical baseline governance across complex mission environments. The Digital Engineer will leverage Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and methodologies to develop digital representations of mission systems, interfaces, data flows, and operational architectures.ย 


This role requires close collaboration with architects, systems engineers, software developers, cybersecurity personnel, and mission stakeholders to ensure technical decisions, system dependencies, and requirements are accurately represented and traceable throughout the system lifecycle.ย 


This role is onsite in Colorado Springs, CO. Hybrid flexibility may be available over time based on mission requirements, program execution needs, and achievement of objectives.ย 


Responsibilitiesย 

  • Develop and maintain Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) models supporting mission systems, enterprise capabilities, and operational architectures.ย 
  • Create and manage digital architecture models representing system relationships, interfaces, data flows, and operational dependencies.ย 
  • Develop system dependency visualizations to support architecture analysis, integration planning, and technical decision-making.ย 
  • Support requirements engineering activities, including requirements decomposition, allocation, validation, and management.ย 
  • Establish and maintain traceability between requirements, architecture products, system components, interfaces, and mission capabilities.ย 
  • Support development and management of technical baselines across hardware, software, data, infrastructure, and operational environments.ย 
  • Collaborate with systems engineers, architects, and technical teams to ensure digital engineering artifacts accurately reflect system implementations and architectural decisions.ย 
  • Support architecture reviews, technical assessments, model governance activities, and engineering working groups.ย 
  • Maintain engineering documentation, model repositories, and digital artifacts supporting program execution and modernization efforts.ย 

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizen with active TS/SCI clearance.ย 
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical discipline.ย 
  • 5+ years of experience supporting systems engineering, digital engineering, MBSE, or architecture development activities.ย 
  • Experience utilizing MBSE tools such as Cameo, MagicDraw, Sparx Enterprise Architect, or similar modeling platforms.ย 
  • Experience developing architecture models, engineering artifacts, requirements relationships, and technical documentation.ย 
  • Familiarity with systems engineering principles, architecture frameworks, and digital engineering methodologies.ย 
  • Experience supporting requirements management, traceability, and technical baseline development.ย 
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.ย 
  • Experience working within Agile, DevSecOps, or modern engineering environments.ย 

Desired Qualificationsย 

  • Experience supporting defense, space, intelligence, or multi-domain operational environments.ย 
  • Familiarity with DoD Digital Engineering Strategy, MBSE methodologies, or SysML-based modeling approaches.ย 
  • Experience supporting Command and Control (C2) systems, mission systems, or enterprise modernization initiatives.ย 
  • OCSMP, INCOSE ASEP/CSEP, Cameo certification, or equivalent digital engineering certification preferred.ย 

$90k-$155k salary + annual bonus eligibility + medical/dental/vision/STD/LTD/Life + 401(k) + PTOย
