Position Overview:

We are seeking an ambitious, results-driven Business Development professional to join our team and help scale our Creative and Digital Marketing division nationally. You'll be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing long-term client relationships, and working closely with our delivery team to ensure high-quality candidates are matched with client needs. You'll represent The Planet Group as a trusted partner, helping organizations solve short-term challenges and meet long-term strategic goals through top-tier talent.

The ideal candidate will be an accomplished sales leader with 2+ years of Creative & Digital staffing experience, with a proven record of consistent achievement and account retention within the staffing/consulting industry.

Position responsibilities:

  • Sell The Planet Group as a staffing business partner to prospective client companies through multiple resources - including cold calling, virtual or in-person client meetings, referrals, social media, etc.

  • Build and grow relationships with current and prospective company clients, manage fee negotiations and contracts, conversion rates and bill rates

  • Develop comprehensive account strategies to win new business from new and existing accounts

  • Communicate new job openings, closings, and feedback from the client to ensure strong candidate matches and line up interviews in a timely manner

  • Work with other Planet Group sales teams to upsell all Planet Group Staffing and Consulting services

  • Work independently and exercise independent judgment in the determination of engaging, developing, and maintaining suitable clients

  • Uncover immediate needs in our target market through leads and follow-ups, executing internal and external initiatives to drive profitable growth

  • Create and participate in sales meetings and presentations

  • Identify and attend key conferences and trade shows to increase company visibility and business opportunities

Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 2-5+ years of new business development experience in technology staffing within the Creative and Digital space

  • Proven ability to generate leads, close deals, and exceed sales targets

  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with the confidence to engage senior-level stakeholders

  • Strong business acumen and problem-solving ability

  • A driven, self-starting attitude with a desire to succeed in a commission-driven environment

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams
