The Job

The Digital Content Manager is responsible for ensuring the quality, consistency, accuracy, and flow of product information and digital assets from product creation through PIM and onto evo.com. This role leads the team responsible for bringing product information to life online - ensuring that product details are accurate and complete, while clearly communicating what is valuable and distinctive about each product to the customer. 


Working collaboratively with the Photo Studio, Buying, Site Merchandising, Product Operations, SEO, UX, and Technology teams, this role oversees the flow of vendor and vertical team information into PIM and the creation and maintenance of product pages. Deep knowledge of evo's core product categories is essential to this role and enables the team to assess the accuracy, relevance, authenticity, and customer value of product information. 


The Digital Content Manager continuously looks for ways to improve how product information is created, enriched, and presented, using tools, automation, and emerging technologies including AI to improve efficiency and scale while maintaining the quality and expertise that customers expect from evo.

The Opportunity

  • Lead Content Creation Team: Manage a team responsible for creating and publishing customer-facing product information and SEO content on evo.com.  
  • PDP Pipeline: Oversee process of getting images and product information live on site from vendors through evo systems and teams.  
  • Product Information & Product Expertise: Ensure product information is accurate, relevant, authentic, and clearly communicates the value and key features of each product. Serve as a subject matter expert and resource to Site Merchandising, Buying, and other teams when evaluating how product information should be represented on site.  
  • Content Editing: Lead a team responsible for writing and editing web page copy to ensure clarity, accuracy, and engagement.  
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with UX and Creative teams to ensure product information is showing up accurately and well on site and is improving with business needs.  
  • Establish KPIs: Define and track team's performance to get product live on site on time via On order list, advocating for resources and contract help as needed to maintain SLAs.  
  • Project Management: Collaborate with web and marketing teams to manage project plans and schedules related to website content.  
  • Team Building: Continuously improve the quality of product information and develop staffing plans that adapt to the variable nature of workloads.  
  • Efficiency: Explore ways to streamline day-to-day operations and uncover efficiencies within the team.  
  • AI & Emerging Technology: Stay curious about new technologies and proactively identify practical ways to use AI, automation, and other tools to improve team efficiency, enrich product information, reduce repetitive manual work, and improve the speed and quality of getting products live.  
  • Tooling and Resource Needs: Articulate evolving resource and tooling requirements for the team, and lead the effort to improve tools or provide contract resources as necessary.  
  • Other duties as assigned.  

Requirements

The Must Haves

  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience in operations, e-commerce, and/or creative organizations.  
  • 2+ years of people management experience with a passion for building and motivating high-performing teams.  
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in online content management for digital platforms.  
  • Strong knowledge of ski, snowboard, mountain bike, or related outdoor product categories  

Technology

  • AI & Automation Tools: Familiarity with AI and automation tools and the ability to identify opportunities to use them to improve workflows, enrich product information, and reduce manual work.  
  • Content Management Systems (CMS): Proficiency in using CMS platforms to update and manage website content. Familiarity with specific CMS tools used by the company.  
  • SEO Tools: Knowledge of SEO tools and best practices to optimize web content for search engines.  
  • Analytics Tools: Understanding of analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, to track and measure the performance of web content and KPIs.  
  • Project Management Tools: Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools to coordinate tasks, timelines, and workflows.  
  • Microsoft Office Suite: Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for various content-related tasks and reporting. .
