Job description

Job Summary The City of St. Peters is seeking a creative and motivated Content Creator to join the Creative Services team. This position supports the City's communication efforts by producing engaging video content, public service announcements, and multimedia projects that inform and connect with the community. The ideal candidate has strong storytelling abilities, technical video production skills, and a passion for creating high-quality visual content.

Normal Shift Part-time, 10 to 20 hours per week; Monday-Friday. Hours vary based on departmental needs and may include weekdays, evenings, weekends, and Board Meeting dates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Capture high-quality video by operating cameras, lighting, and audio equipment for a variety of productions.
  • Edit video projects, including public service announcements and promotional content.
  • Write scripts and assist in developing creative concepts for video productions.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews, filming locations, and production activities.
  • Organize and maintain the department's digital video library.
  • Serve as floor director during studio and on-location productions.
  • Operate audio mixing equipment during productions.
  • Support a variety of multimedia projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be a US citizen or lawfully authorized alien worker.
  • Motor Vehicle Operator's license valid in the state of Missouri.
  • Working knowledge of sound and lighting equipment operation and field productions.
  • Associate degree or two (2) years experience in video production work including video editing or a combination of education and experience in a related field.
  • Must possess camera operation and shot composition skills.
  • Ability to lift and handle a minimum of 50 lbs. for sustained periods of time.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate degree and two (2) years experience in related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite.
