Program Manager - Website & Dealer Tools Program
Shift Digital is the leader in digital marketing program optimization. Established in 2008 and headquartered in Birmingham, Michigan, our comprehensive solutions help national brands and their local retailers measure, manage, and improve the performance of their digital marketing and sales initiatives.
The Program Manager is responsible for owning and maintaining specific projects and digital programs for Shift Digital's Genesis account. This person will work to service the client in terms of project management, reporting requests, data analysis, dealer adoption, and identifying opportunities to optimize their lead generating websites and products. The Program Manager will develop, maintain and own the roadmap and project plans, client's requirements gathering, ad-hoc reporting requests and new feature/functionality development for their assigned projects and programs.
The Program Manager will serve as a liaison between the client, internal teams within Shift Digital (billing, dealer support, technology) and external vendors to ensure the best possible value is delivered to the client. He or she will also be responsible for monthly reporting tasks pertaining to program KPIs.
This is a full-time position based at our Laguna Beach, CA office. Employees are currently required to be in-office 3-4 days per week. The Genesis Program Manager reports to the Account Lead over this account.
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Manage the Genesis dealer Website and Tools programs with client satisfaction and program profitability top of mind
  • Manage and maintain relationships with a group of certified website and dealer tool providers, including onboarding, performance monitoring, compliance enforcement, and ongoing communication.
  • Own projects from beginning to final delivery to client across all lines of business
  • Provide direction to internal Shift Digital teams (billing, dealer support, technology) based on client needs
  • Manage project scope and client expectations and develop contingency plans
  • Manage project status including milestone tracking, budget, allocation, and open issues
  • Initiate and lead QA activities on program solutions to be delivered to the client
  • Provide in-depth analytical analysis of performance of products and services using tools provided
  • Work effectively within the team to prioritize client requests and product requirements including current customer/prospect needs and long-term product roadmap needs
  • Manage requirement gathering, project plans, project development and delivery of new features or functions
  • Identify opportunities for new programs
  • Lead regular status meetings with client and providers

Desired Experience & Qualifications
  • Comfortable speaking with/in front of clients and Regional Reps
  • Detail oriented and self-motivated
  • Project management skills necessary to manage various and numerous projects while tracking costs against budgets and time to completion
  • Understanding of the digital space, associated analytics, and delivery of technology solutions
  • Strong understanding of retailer website architecture, user experience (UX), and conversion-focused design best practices.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of eCommerce strategies, including lead generation, digital retailing workflows and merchandising
  • Knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO), including on-page optimization, technical SEO, local SEO, and performance monitoring.
  • Familiarity with website tagging and analytics frameworks (e.g., Google Tag Manager, event tracking, conversion tracking) to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Working knowledge of compliance, accessibility standards (ADA), and brand guidelines
  • Communication and interpersonal skills necessary to actively promote a cooperative team environment
  • Strong analytical and data skills
  • Desire to own success of projects
  • 5 years of experience in Digital Marketing
  • Automotive experience is preferred

Some of these factors include, but are not limited to: skillset, location, years of experience, licenses, certifications, and business/organizational needs. The following compensation range is specific to New York City, Colorado, Nevada, California, and Washington residents only. While we do provide an estimated salary range, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the top range for their role. A reasonable estimate for this role is: $80,000 - $100,000.
