What does a Digital Accessibility Director do?

A Digital Accessibility Director leads initiatives to ensure that digital products, such as websites and applications, are accessible to people with disabilities. This role involves developing accessibility strategies, overseeing compliance with relevant laws and standards like the ADA and WCAG, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate accessibility into the digital development process. The director also provides training, audits digital assets, and works to create a culture of inclusion within the organization. Their goal is to make digital content usable for everyone, regardless of ability.

These competencies are essential to ensure digital inclusion, regulatory compliance, and a culture of accessibility across products and services.
