bout the Team
The Accessibility Compliance office (ACO) is a dedicated team of accessibility and accommodations experts responsible for ensuring the accessibility of all the Client's digital product offerings in compliance with leading accessibility standards. The ACO establishes internal best practices and audits projects to ensure compliance through collaboration with product owners, design, and development. It provides recurring training on multiple Accessibility topics to ensure proper engagement for project teams and interfaces with external vendors to confirm accessibility. This is all to ensure that all the Client's digital products and offerings are accessible to individuals with disabilities.
bout the Opportunity
In this role, you are a champion for our users in ensuring compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 to ensure an accessible experience for all. You are the primary auditor of web applications and documents (including PDF) to identify and guide remediation while interfacing with Client development resources. You will also be increasingly involved in the UAT process for key applications during the Client digitization efforts.
In this role, you will:
uditing (50%)

  • Test and validate Client experience (Web & Mobile) to ensure adherence to current leading guidelines
  • Produce complete and reliable documentation and support to guide development teams on remediation.
  • Role is also responsible for documentation accessibility including PDF, Word, Powerpoint, and Excel.
  • Communicate test results to clients while ensuring a focus on technical remediation delivered in a fashion that is understandable by all.
Customer Management (25%)
  • Develop and foster relationships related to work performed and ensure a commitment to Accessibility within related teams.
  • Effectively use leading assistive technologies to evaluate and resolve complaint management issues.
  • Support Irregularity report from a technical perspective and fashion meaningful response communication.
User Acceptance Testing - UAT (15%)
  • Support team efforts to provide real-time user acceptance testing in support of critical product releases to facilitate Client digitization efforts.
Training (10%)
  • Identify and develop training opportunities in support of development teams to increase accessibility maturity.

  • BS Degree in Computer Science, Psychology, or related field/equivalent experience required
  • 3-5 years of prior work experience in the field of Accessibility
  • Working knowledge of leading Assistive Technologies such as JAWS, NVDA, ZoomText, Dragon, etc.
  • Strong understanding of HTML/CSS and how to build web pages
  • Working knowledge of the fundamentals of JavaScript
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain good customer working relationship
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Accessibility Standards and Laws, domestic and international - with the ability to apply them to design patterns
  • Demonstrated proficiency at written and oral communication to support relationship building
