Arms Acres in Carmel, NY is looking for a Dietary Assistant to join their energetic growing team. The Dietary Assistant will assist in preparation and service of all functions in the Dietary Department.


Full-time hours vary; Days, hours vary


  • Follows all mandates and procedures as outlined in the operations manual concerning food preparation, services storage and sanitation as set forth by the New York State Department of Health and Arms Acres.
  • Cleans, rotates stock and organizes service lines, coolers and storage areas inside and outside of the kitchen, frequently lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 75 pounds with assistance.
  • Stocks and prepares all items necessary for salad bar set up including drainage, sanitation, and rotation of the salad bar unit.
  • Prepares, assembles, delivers, and retrieves meal trays and/or supplies for all unit patients as called for. Special attention is given to keeping cold foods cold and hot foods hot.

Up to six months' related experience and/or training,

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos in English
