Job description

CD & Power is Northern California and Western Nevada's largest generator sales, service, and rental company. For 11 years in a row, we've earned a spot among theTop Workplaces in the San Francisco Bay Areabecause we invest in our people while fostering a family atmosphere. Many of our staff members have made their careers here by moving into our management ranks or taking advantage of extensive training opportunities to build their hands-on skills as technicians. We have the only state-approved apprenticeship program for generator technicians.


We need an experienced, independent, and motivated Diesel Generator Technician for our Martinez, CA facility with at least 6 years of relevant work history. Qualified candidates must have a valid CA driver's license and clean driving record, pass a pre-employment background, physical, and drug screening, and be available to work overtime, as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete CD & Power Training as needed for this position.
  • Perform jobs as assigned by the Service Writer with minimal supervision.
  • Fulfill paperwork requirements.
  • Assist the supervisor with bidding jobs.
  • Meet or exceed bid labor times 95% of the time.
  • Lead by example in attitude, safety, productivity, and cleanliness.
  • Ability to take initiative.
  • Perform all aspects of repairs, services, and maintenance on various generators.
  • Follow company policies and procedures.
  • Be a "team player".
