Job description

Diesel Engine Technician Opportunity Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Engine Technician. As a Diesel Engine Technician at W.W. Williams, you will be responsible for accurately troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing both routine maintenance and emergency services while making repair recommendations to customers. This position will also be responsible for mechanical and electrical assembly operations to customize diesel engines and components into a quality finished product to the customer's satisfaction.

Job Duties:

  • Perform quality repairs and maintenance on Off-road Diesel Engines as specified in manufacturer-designed procedures.
  • Modify and/or assemble engine packages from a detailed build specification to meet customer expectations.
  • Perform completed unit testing to meet factory and customer requirements.
  • Accurately complete all required paperwork (e.g., assembly/unit testing/ and repair order reports) in a timely manner.
  • Fabricate/weld components, as required.
  • Dedication and adherence to all Company and industry safety standards.

Work Experience & Qualifications:

  • Our ideal candidate would have a minimum of 3+ Years of diesel repair and maintenance experience in a shop or field environment. Deutz and Volvo Penta experience preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of diagnostics and troubleshooting diesel engines.
  • Computer and software skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Working knowledge of design drawings and wiring diagrams.
  • Ability to operate a forklift and overhead crane.
  • MIG welding experience.
