Overview
A Diesel Technician specializes in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered vehicles and equipment. This role is essential in industries like trucking, construction, and agriculture, where diesel engines are commonly used.

What You'll Do:
  • Perform work as outlined on a repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards
  • Diagnose and repair diesel trucks and commercial vehicles
  • Perform preventive maintenance and safety inspections
  • Complete repairs efficiently in a flat rate pay environment
  • Use state-of-the-art diagnostic tools and OEM software
  • Work on a wide range of makes and models, specializing in Internationalยฎ Trucks
  • Observe and record any malfunction and performs repair, as directed by a supervisor.
  • Complete and assist other technicians on major repairs.
  • Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
  • Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
  • Road test vehicles when required. CDL License required for this task.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Display the ability to work in a team environment.

What You Bring:
  • 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience (preferred)
  • Familiarity with medium to heavy-duty trucks and diesel systems
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver's license (CDL a plus)
  • Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset

Qualifications:
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical examination.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while providing a superior customer service experience.
  • Must have a minimum of two year of technical experience in the medium-/heavy-duty truck industry.
  • Must be physically capable of performing the duties of technician per dealer requirements.
  • Ability to produce quality work in a Flat Rate structure environment.
  • Cummins Certified Technician highly preferred. (x15, isb series 6.7, and L9)
