Job description

Job Title: Entry Level Diesel Technician
Company: I-State Truck Centers
Location: Rogers, Minnesota
Pay Range: $24.00-$30.00/hour DOE

I-State Truck Center is looking for Entry Level Diesel technicians at our Rogers Minnesota location. We offer our own internal training department as well as continued education and certifications while you learn and grow.

Mechanic Job Duties

  • This is an Entry Level position, developing and learning a skilled trade while working with Factory Trained/Certified Technicians.
  • Entry level troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair on all types of trucks
  • PM work, oil changes, lights, A/C, brakes, tire changes, basic tech work!
  • Will train and grow entry level techs into full blown diesel techs
  • Diagnose, repair, adjust, and modify all heavy duty components
  • Positive interface with service writers, foreman, parts department and customers
  • Keep paper work updated and handed in upon completion

Desired Skills and Qualities

  • Technical degree or certification a plus
  • Positive attitude and the ability to set goals and accomplish them
  • The desire to take advantage of certification opportunities to have the most updated product training
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills

Position Requirements for Mechanics

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A strong desire to learn and grow your technical skill set with heavy duty trucks
