A die cast engineer works on the entire life cycle of die casting for a company. Your responsibilities in this career include the establishing the development process and the manufacturing parameters for die components, troubleshooting quality issues, making corrective measures, guiding designers to create castings, documenting production cost, and maintaining the casting equipment. Your duties also include working with the tooling engineer to build slide layouts, internal cooling systems, air evacuation systems, and parting lines for the die. As the die cast engineer, you also document the metal melting and cleaning process.
