Job description

Omni Fort Lauderdale Hotel
The Omni Ft. Lauderdale Hotel is a 29-story hotel, located at 1950 Eisenhower Blvd, and connected directly to the Broward County Convention. The property offers 801 guest rooms and suites, multiple restaurants, a vibrant rooftop bar, a sprawling pool, spa, and fitness center. The hotel has over 120,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space, including a grand ballroom, junior ballroom, 25 breakout rooms and pre-function meeting space with waterfront views.
JOB PURPOSE: To ensure that assigned housekeeping areas are kept clean and fully stocked. Also, services assigned public areas to meet the expectations of the Omni Standards.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Ensures that assigned service landing closets are stocked at proper linen and supply levels.

  • Empties GRAs linens on an hourly basis or as needed.

  • Empties GRAs garbage on an hourly basis or as needed.

  • Communicate with GRAs and assist them with stripping guest rooms

  • Keeps the service landing clean and organized.

  • Remove trays and garbage from the guest floors.

  • Keeps corridors / baseboards clean on guest room floors.

  • Maintain cleanliness of stairwells.

  • Daily cleaning of guest room glassware / silverware in the dishwasher

  • All guest room doors must be free of scuff marks.

  • Keeps the ice machine room clean, moped, dusted and machine wiped down.

  • Maintain guest windows and service elevator landings clean, moped, wiped down and scrub walls clean.

  • Moves furniture upon request.

  • Completes guest requests and deliveries.

  • Have a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ensure hotel guests and associates are maintained in a safe and secure environment.

  • Complete daily projects given to them by the housekeeping leadership team

  • Responsible for department radio/earpiece assigned to them for communication within the department

  • Keep all storage areas neat, organized, and clean.

  • Duties, responsibilities, and work locations may change or be assigned at any time based on business needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Able to maintain a 4 - Diamond level of service.

  • Able to assist GRA'S.

  • Able to work with Management on special projects.

  • Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.

  • Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.

ENVIRONMENT & POSITION ANALYSIS:
  • Move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 75 pounds without assistance. Stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift. Requires repetitive motion.

TOOLS & EQUIPMENT:
  • Telephone, push to talk radio, cart, vacuum, mop and Broom duster and chemicals
