To ensure that quality diabetes self-management education is delivered through a coordinated and systematic process and ensures accountability and continuity of the education process.


Responsibilities

Registered Dietician needed for Multispecialty clinic.


Qualifications

Age of Patients Served: Adolescent (13-17 years) Adult (18-64 years) Geriatric (=>65 years) Required Education: BS in Nutrition or Nursing Preferred Education: Master's in nutrition or nursing. Necessary Skills: Organizational skills. Written and verbal communication skills. Decision making skills. Stress management skills. Prioritization skills. Required Licensure/Certifications: -Current professional license in the State of Florida -Current professional registration for registered dietitians -Certified Diabetes Educator required within one (1) year of date of hire or transfer into the position.

Required Experience: 1-One year of any of the following:

-Diabetes Management and Self-Management Education

-Teaching experience

-RN Clinical Experience

Preferred Experience:

Less than one year - Diabetes Management and Self-Management Education

-AND-

1-2 years - Teaching experience

-AND-

3-5 years - Clinical Experience
