Job description

SGI Global is seeking qualified Junior Compliance Officer to support a federal law enforcement client with I-9 audit support services and worksite enforcement compliance activities. The role assists in reviewing employment eligibility documentation, conducting database research, and preparing audit-ready case files and reports that support administrative enforcement actions and related determinations. The position is ideal for early-career professionals interested in federal compliance, employment eligibility verification, and investigative support in a high-visibility mission environment.
This position currently requires an on-site schedule performed at government facilities during core business hours in accordance with client requirements. No routine telework is authorized under this contract. Contractor personnel are expected to work an 8-hour tour of duty within a 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. coverage window, excluding federal holidays and weekends, with occasional overtime possible when authorized by the client. Schedule is subject to change based on company/contract requirements.
Junior Compliance Officer Qualifications
  • Bachelor'sdegree(BA/BS)ispreferredbuttheminimumeducational requirement is an Associates Level degree.
  • Education is preferred to be in Business, Accounting, Finance, Information Systems or a similar field.
  • 1-3 years experience preferred

Junior Compliance Officer Tasks
  • At a minimum, the Junior Compliance Officer shall perform the following tasks:
  • Responsible for inputting and evaluating data.
  • Utilize DHS databases to run queries, prepare spreadsheets, and conduct research.
  • Assist Auditors and Criminal Investigators with evaluation of Employment Eligibility Verification Form I-9.
  • Assist with drafting audit reports and associated administrative fine paperwork to support the issuance of Notices of Intent to Fine, Final Orders, Warning Notices and other related documentation for HSI audits related to the employment eligibility verification process.
  • Coordinate these functions and procedures with Criminal Investigators and Auditors.
  • Perform all administrative functions necessary to ensure compliance with basic property, time and attendance,facility, and information technology processes in government location
