Job description

Scope of Position: Looking for a well-verse candidate ready for a challenge in opening a new hotel. (Hyatt Brand)
The General Manager provides executive leadership for all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring compliance with Hyatt Regency brand standards and Desert Hospitality Management (DHM) policies while delivering exceptional guest experiences, financial performance, team member engagement, and owner satisfaction.
Position Responsibilities and Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree preferred; 8-10+ years progressive hotel leadership.
• Previous General Manager experience in a Hyatt Regency or comparable full-service upscale hotel preferred.
• Strong financial acumen, budgeting, forecasting, revenue management, and labor management skills.
• Alcohol awareness and food safety certification as required by state and federal laws.
Physical Demands:
• Long hours sometimes required, including nights and weekends.
• Light Work-Exerting up to 30 pounds of force occasionally, and /or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
• Ability to spend some time moving about the hotel overseeing the various departments.
• Valid driver's license from appropriate state and MVR in good standing.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead all hotel departments including Rooms, Food & Beverage, Engineering, Sales & Marketing, Revenue Management, Finance, Human Resources, Security, and Events.
• Ensure compliance with Hyatt brand standards, DHM SOPs, and all applicable laws.
• Drive RevPAR, ADR, occupancy, GOP, EBITDA, guest satisfaction, and associate engagement.
• Develop department leaders through coaching, succession planning, and accountability.
• Maintain strong relationships with ownership, Hyatt, community partners, and DHM leadership.
• Champion a culture of safety, inclusion, ethics, and service excellence.
Performance Expectations:
• Meet or exceed annual financial plan.
• Achieve Hyatt brand compliance.
