Funding comes from a variety of sources, including state-appropriated funds, taxable and tax-exempt revenue bonds, federal low income housing tax credits, federal HOME funds and other federal funds. GRADE

14\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nThis position offers a salary range of $28.43 - 30.78/hourly with the potential for advancement up to $44.84/hourly based on qualifications, equity, and hiring guidelines. Initial salary offers are determined by qualifications, experience, and available budget, and typically do not exceed $30.78/hourly.\r\n

7800 Harkins Road\r\n\r\nLanham, MD 20706\r\n\r\n\r\nThe Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development is located in Prince George's County across from the New Carrollton Metro Stop.\r\n

POSITION DUTIES

The main purpose of this position is to account for all single-family loan, investment and bond transactions in two single family bond indentures, prepare the trial balance, and analyze account data that accurately reflects the financial condition of CDA's Single Family Bond Programs. By issuing single family bonds, CDA's programs provide affordable housing opportunities for low- and moderate-income people. Using the website, CDA provides timely information to investors thus enhancing the marketability of CDA bonds.\r\n\r\n\r\nThis position provides administrative and technical support of a financial nature to employees in CDA Finance and the Division of Development Finance, thereby supporting the goals of CDA and the mission of DHCD as described in MFR (Managing for Results) documents.\r\n

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

\r\nEducation: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.\r\n\r\n\r\nExperience: Four years experience in rehabilitation or home improvement mortgage underwriting or loan analysis.\r\n\r\n\r\nNotes:\r\n\r\n\r\n1. Applicants may substitute pertinent volunteer and/or part-time experience is acceptable. Please document the number of hours spent per week in this type of experience on the employment application form.\r\n\r\n\r\n2. Applicants may substitute education at an accredited college or university on a year-for-year basis for up to two years of the requiredexperience.\r\n\r\n\r\n3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military serviceexperience as a non-commissioned officer in the FinancialAnalysis classification series or Financial Analysis specialty codeson a year-for-year basis for the required experience.\r\n \r\n\r\n

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

\r\n\r\n\r\n Experience in mortgage lending.\r\n Experience with mortgage processing.\r\n Experience with mortgage titles or\r\n mortgage closing.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.\r\n

BENEFITS

Contractual employees who work for an agency covered under the State Employee and Retiree Health and Welfare Benefits Program, have a current employment contract and work 30 or more hours a week (or an average 130 hours per month) may be eligible for subsidized health benefits coverage for themselves and their dependents. As a contractual employee, you will be responsible for paying 25% of the premiums for your medical and prescription coverage, including any eligible dependents you have enrolled. The State of Maryland will subsidize the remaining 75% of the cost for these benefits. You can also elect to enroll in dental coverage, accidental death and dismemberment insurance, life insurance, but will be responsible to pay the full premium for these benefits.\r\n\r\n\r\nLeave may be granted to a contractual employee who has worked 120 days in a 12 month period. This leave accrues at a rate of one hour for every 30 hours worked, not to exceed 40 hours per calendar year.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
