We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Procurement Manager to lead and execute the organization's procurement, sourcing and vendor relationship management activities across our portfolio of three industry leading companies in the security, monitoring and life safety sectors. This position reports directly to the Group CFO and is a stand-alone position that will directly partner with a broad range of teams across the companies.

About the Procurement Director Role

In this role you will lead and execute the procurement and sourcing functions across all three group companies. This is a true player-coach position that can meaningfully impact the organization and requires a hands-on individual that is a strong executor.  

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in procurement, sourcing and supplier relations with demonstrated experience of executing meaningful savings initiatives while fostering strong vendor relationships. As our businesses have very strong operational and technology components, direct experience in these areas will be critical. 


Role and Responsibilities:

Lead and execute all procurement, sourcing and supplier relations activities of the organization, including:

  • Supplier Relationship Management: Develop and foster strong relationships across key suppliers and across group companies. Ensure disciplined buying approaches while strengthening longer-term relations.
  • Vendor Negotiations: Engage and lead, on an as needed basis, direct negotiations with new and existing suppliers, end of life contracts and renewals that maximize price efficiency for the group of companies while leveraging cross-entity buying power where appropriate.
  • Sourcing Strategy: Partner with business and technology leadership to continuously evaluate opportunities for vendor consolidation and re-alignment. Support the execution of these activities where appropriate. Standardize RFP/ RFI processes.
  • Budget and Cost Management: Partner with CFO and executive leadership teams to ensure indirect and cost of sale spend goals are met or exceeded.
  • Supplier Management: Institute a streamlined and consistent vendor scorecard and where applicable vendor review process for key suppliers.
  • Inventory: Partner with business units on key inventory buying processes to ensure maximum efficiency of working capital and inventory management along with distribution needs.



Requirements

Essential Qualifications: 


Experience: 7-12+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing and supplier relations. At least 3 years of experience managing and executing a procurement function at the corporate or key business unit level.  


Education: Bachelor's degree is required.  


Knowledge/Skills/Experience:

  • Strong, can-do attitude with a strong bias toward being action-oriented.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills and capable of managing complex negotiation processes to drive cost efficiency while also maintaining strong supplier relations.
  • In-depth exposure to managing supplier scorecards and supplier review programs.
  • Significant exposure to technology, service and/or operations procurement, a plus.
  • Willingness to travel within NYC and NJ offices (incumbent will be based in one office but will need flexibility for limited travel to other local office locations).

The anticipated pay range for this role is $140,000 - $180,000 + bonus, which represents our good faith and reasonable estimate of the starting salary range at the time of posting. The actual offered rate for this position will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors, including qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity.
