Job description

Lambda Industries (DBA ClackTech) is hiring highly experienced and capable technicians to handle service calls and installation services for clients within the DFW region.

What are we looking for?

Level 2 Tech: Performs routine installations and servicing of networks, CCTV systems, electronic access control systems, home theater & audio systems. Reading blueprints, tracing wires, and troubleshooting network connectivity issues.

This full-time role is based inย Fort Worth, TX. We service all areas of DFW and surrounding counties.

Responsibilities:

Field Work for new installations and service of existing installation

  • Install and Test:ย You will install and test network firewalls, switches, WAPs, PtP hardware, PoE cameras, HID card readers, electronic door hardware, and Lutron switches/shades.
    • Network Hardware Installed: Cisco Meraki, Aruba, Ruckus, Ubiquiti Unifi, and Ubiquiti UISP
    • CCTV Hardware Installed: Uniview, Hanwha, Ubiquiti Unifi, Axis
    • Access Control Hardware Installed: Doorbird, Ubiquiti Unifi, Axis 2N, Dormakaba, ZKTeco
    • Access Control Hardware Installed: Assa Abloy, Seco-Larm. We install electric strikes, panic bars (Assa Abloy ELR), HID card readers.
  • Installation Work:ย Pull wire, terminate wire, exterior penetration, junction box mounting, J-Pole installation, conduit installation (mostly ENT โ€œsmurf-tubeโ€ and liquidtight.
  • Wires we work with:ย CAT5e, CAT6, pre-terminated fiber, 22/2-4, 14/2-4, 16/2-4, 18/2. We use both riser and plenum.
  • Programming: Network equipment will be given basic attachment programming, allowing all final programming to be completed from authorized network technicians. This includes programming static IP addresses to firewalls, providing serial numbers of hardware, and connecting to proper ports allowing network equipment access.
  • Other Responsibilities / Requirements
  • Timely submittal of reports, and expenses. We use Clickup for service call and project management.
  • Record Time
  • Communication with clients explaining in simple terms what is being installed or repaired, and why it is necessary.
  • Understanding and adhering to safe working conditions.
  • Use Microsoft Outlook and Teams for internal communication.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive field experience; 5+ years in low voltage and wire installations for residential and commercial.
  • Current & Valid Texas Private Security License (TOPS)
  • Ability to work Saturdays.
  • Valid US Driverโ€™s License
    • You will be provided a company van with company gas card.
  • Technicians will bring their own hand tools.
  • Authorized to work in the USA without Visa sponsorship.
  • Meticulous with detail; observant of details and a desire to find a solution that not only functions, but blends with aesthetics.
  • Experience and certification operating equipment IE: scissor lifts, forklifts, boom lift.
