Job description

GSOC Operator - (Corporate Security)

Surefox North America is a veteran-owned physical security company committed to excellence, integrity, and service. We are seeking highly skilled and dependable GSOC Operators to join and lead our operations team in Sunnyvale. This role is critical in ensuring the safety, continuity, and security of client assets and personnel through real-time monitoring and rapid incident response.

The ideal candidate will have experience in GSOC operations, system administration (specifically with Genetec), access control systems, as well as threat and intelligence analysis. In addition, they must possess excellent communication skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to manage a variety of security functions in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Location: Sunnyvale, CA (Onsite) Pay Rate: $30-35/hour Schedule: Full-Time, Part-Time | 8-hour shifts | 24/7 Coverage (AM, SW, and GV Shifts Available)

Position Overview

As a GSOC Operator, you will serve as a key member of the Surefox Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), supporting real-time monitoring, incident response, access control oversight, staffing coordination, and internal security communications. This is a support-based operational role that works under the direction of Assistant Program Managers (APMs) and plays a critical role in maintaining safe, consistent, and compliant security operations.

Key Responsibilities Monitoring & Incident Response
  • Monitor CCTV, access control, alarm systems, and other security platforms across multiple sites.
  • Respond to alarms, dispatch response resources, and coordinate with internal teams and emergency services.
  • Perform incident triage, escalation, and detailed reporting in accordance with SOPs.
  • Maintain situational awareness of ongoing incidents and emerging threats.
System Administration & Access Control
  • Administer Genetec or equivalent access control systems, including badge issuance and deactivation.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate with vendors or integrators as needed.
  • Conduct access audits and support system optimization efforts.
Threat Intelligence & Communication
  • Monitor open-source and internal intelligence sources for security-related risks.
  • Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly incident and security reports.
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders, first responders, and law enforcement during incidents.
  • Draft and disseminate emergency alerts and advisories when required.
Operational & Program Support
  • Support Assistant Program Manager's with timecard reconciliation and basic payroll assistance.
  • Assist with scheduling coordination, shift coverage, and staffing adjustments.
  • Conduct daily virtual briefings with uniformed security officers.
  • Prepare and maintain counseling documentation and operational records.
  • Assist with guard check-ins, shift logs, training documentation, and compliance audits.
  • Generate reports related to coverage, KPIs, and operational metrics.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and after-action reporting.
Mobility & Emergency Support
  • Meet and pass Surefox Physical Agility Test (SPAT) requirements, as assigned.
  • Drive company vehicles when required for operational or emergency support.
  • Provide emergency or short-notice shift coverage during critical events or staffing gaps.
Qualifications Required
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must pass a background check.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree preferred).
  • 2โ€“5 years of experience in GSOC operations, security systems, or related fields.
  • Availability to work any assigned shift, including weekends and holidays.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Familiarity with access control and CCTV systems (e.g., Genetec, Lenel).
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to remain onsite during critical events.
Preferred
  • Prior experience working in or directly supporting a GSOC or ISOC.
  • Genetec or CCTV administrator experience.
  • Experience with scheduling, timekeeping, or operational support functions.

  • Relevant security or systems certifications.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Starting Pay: $30.00/hour
  • After 90 Days: $31.87/hour
  • After 1 Year: $33.54/hour
  • After 2 Years: $35.00/hour
  • Overtime pay as applicable
  • Holiday bonus pay for covered shifts worked on Surefox-recognized holidays
