NOW HIRING: SR. PROJECT MANAGER — NUCLEAR POWER

Blue United Sourcing is seeking a Senior Manager of Major Projects on behalf of a leading nuclear power generation company. This role is responsible for directing execution of a large-scale capital upgrade program across an operating nuclear facility, coordinating with engineering, operations, and outside contractor partners to deliver hundreds of individual plant modifications safely, on schedule, and on budget.

This is a rare opportunity to help lead one of the most significant capital investment programs underway in the nuclear power industry today, with a clear path to long-term career growth for the right leader.

OVERVIEW

Title: Senior Manager, Major Projects

Location: Toledo, Ohio (onsite; relocation package offered)

Schedule: Full-Time. 4x10s or 5 X 8s (flexible)

Compensation: $160,000 – $180,000 base, depending on experience, plus 25% Annual Incentive Bonus and 25–35% Long-Term Incentive Plan Bonus

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage execution of major capital upgrade projects from design through implementation, ensuring safety, budget, schedule, and quality requirements are met.
  • Lead all project managers (both engineering-focused and field-implementation-focused), project coordinators, and project controls staff. Manage roughly 10–15 direct reports.
  • Define project scope, deliverables, and success criteria alongside site engineering team.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams — engineering, licensing, operations, EPC partners, and OEMs — to deliver system upgrades on time.
  • Oversee project budgets and resource plans, maintaining strict cost and schedule controls.
  • Manage a large contractor workforce that scales into the hundreds during peak execution windows.
  • Identify and manage technical, regulatory, and execution risk to support timely regulatory approvals and project milestones.
  • Provide regular status updates and milestone reporting to project and executive leadership.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - Please make sure you meet the minimum requirements before applying.

What We Need to See: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering.
  • PMP certification required
  • At least 10 years of nuclear industry experience.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated leadership/organizational management experience.
  • Proven experience delivering large-scale, complex capital projects as a lead project manager
  • Authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Preferred:

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Experience spanning both engineering project management and field implementation.
  • Familiarity with regulatory approval processes in a highly regulated industrial environment.
  • Experience managing large, multi-vendor contractor workforces.
