The Role

The Business Systems Integration team powers the end-to-end systems that drive Block's CRM, Procurement, Finance, Hardware supply chain, logistics, fulfillment, and after-sales service. We design, build, and manage the integrations and processes that connect all the different systems operations to scale efficiently and intelligently.

We are looking for an Information Systems Engineer who combines strong technical engineering skills with a deep domain knowledge in APIs and Integration. You will build, and enhance engineering processes, integrations, automations, and extensions across the various business systems our organization works with, including CRM, Oracle Fusion Cloud, Salesforce. You will collaborate closely with partner teams including Sales, Support, Supply chain, and finance teams to translate business needs into scalable, high-impact system solutions. This is a hands-on technical role ideal for someone who has experience in building complex APIs and Integrations at scale.

We want employees to reside where they feel most creative and productive. You will be part of a distributed team and are open to sharing and adjusting to typical working hours.

You Will
  • Design integrations across enterprise business systems, including Salesforce, Oracle Cloud, Snowflake, Looker, and external partner systems using MuleSoft or other Integration iPaaS platform
  • Design and build Python-based tools for supporting integrations and automations and process optimization.
  • Write and optimize SQL scripts for data extraction, transformation, reconciliation, and analytics.
  • Collaborate with partner engineering and operations teams to ensure integration robustness, security, and scalability.
  • Create and execute unit, integration, and regression tests for custom components and data flows.
  • Monitor and support launched integrations and automations, using metrics and logs to continuously improve reliability and performance of the platform.
  • Contribute to technical documentation, design reviews, and version control using GitHub and modern DevOps practices
  • Lead incident response and root cause analysis for critical production applications and integrations
You Have
  • 8+ years architecting, designing, and scaling enterprise APIs and integrations in high-volume environments
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in one of the iPaaS Integration platforms, preferably MuleSoft
  • 3+ years of recent hands-on experience with programming languages (Python, Kotlin, Java or Go)
  • Experience leveraging Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Windsurf or any of the LLM based tools for Productivity enhancements
  • Experience leveraging AI/ML-based automations for automating technical and business processes
  • Hands-on experience integrating with enterprise business systems such as Salesforce, Oracle Fusion Cloud, Workday or SAP
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and familiarity with data pipelines in Airflow, Fivetran, Prefect or Databricks
  • Familiarity in working in Cloud platforms, preferably AWS, and services like S3, Lambda, SQS, RDS
  • Solid understanding of software engineering best practices including code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and documentation.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills able to translate functional requirements from stakeholders into and technical design
  • Proven track record of delivering complex integrations for procurement, finance, or supply chain systems
  • Deep commitment to delivering quality products
  • Experience managing complex applications and integrations in Production, providing KTLO support and root cause analysis
Nice to Have
  • Certifications in Mulesoft, AWS
  • Experience or familiarity in building MCP servers, using Python or Typescript, for exposing tools and processes to Agentic workflows
