Fluid Systems Operations Engineer
Location: Taft, CA (Onsite)
Role Overview
We are seeking a Fluid Systems Operations Engineer to join our team. The selected candidate will integrate test execution requirements and resources to conduct pressure testing and clean room operations. This role will collaborate with engineering leadership, test engineering, and internal/external customers.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and tracking of performance metrics, track trends, and work with leadership to develop action plans.
  • Aid in the development of a test execution plan that includes resource allocation, a high-level schedule that tracks the usage of equipment and floor space, test support requirements, and program milestones.
  • Improve communication and collaboration through a plan that provides status updates on current test and cleaning activities.
  • Support the development, creation, and maintenance of test and cleaning documentation.
  • Track current and upcoming test phases to status cleaning and testing activities to meet program need dates.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with propulsion test management and engineers daily.
  • Work under general direction.
Required Qualifications
  • A Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • 7+ years of experience in test laboratory operations and performing propulsion testing in propulsion systems, pressure and fluid systems, and vacuum systems.
  • 4+ years of experience with precision cleaning of hardware.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in clean room operations.
  • Experience as a lead, supervisor, or manager.
  • Knowledge of propellant and chemical handling/storage requirements.

PLEASE NOTE: Candidates must be able to obtain and/or maintain a Department of Defense Top Secret clearance as a condition and continuation of employment.
Work Environment
This is a full-time, onsite position. Domestic travel of less than 10% may be required. Opportunities for overtime may be available.
