The Sr DevOps Engineer is a critical member of the DevOps team, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust DevOps solutions. This role will focus on enhancing our CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure management, and improving system reliability and performance. The Sr DevOps Engineer will collaborate closely with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure smooth and efficient software delivery processes.

Your Responsibilities on the Team

  • Design, build, and maintain complex CI/CD pipelines for various applications and services.
  • Lead initiatives to implement and manage IaC using tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Work closely with development teams on software products in the cloud environment.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline software delivery processes.
  • Ensure system security, scalability, and reliability through effective monitoring and alerting solutions.
  • Drive automation and orchestration to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Evaluate and integrate new tools and technologies to improve the DevOps workflow.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for DevOps processes and systems.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Provide expertise and guidance with securing cloud-native application development and delivery platforms (DevOps, CI/CD) with demonstrated strength in DevSecOps tooling.
  • Promote and facilitate effective communication between Security Engineering & Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, and other departments and/or business units.
  • Assist in the acquisition and risk assessment, procurement, and evaluation of new vendor and product selections.
  • Evaluate and recommend new and emerging services and technologies.
  • Deal effectively with a wide range of vendors, and service providers.
  • Facilitate productive meetings and work successfully in a team-oriented environment.
  • Handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate considerable writing proficiency and visual design skills, oral presentation skills, problem solving and decision-making skills.

Your Toolbox

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in DevOps.
  • Expertise in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, AWS and GitHub Actions.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, and CloudFormation.
  • Strong experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Solid understanding of cloud platforms, specifically AWS.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
