The Agency for Persons with Disabilities is seeking a Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP) to join their team in Sunland. This position is responsible for ensuring that each resident's active treatment program is integrated, coordinated, and monitored. The QIDP will also ensure a healthy and safe environment for each resident. This is a mission critical/essential, excluded position tasked with responding in emergency situations.
The work you will do includes orchestrating all facets of the active treatment team's efforts, coordinating internal and external program services, facilitating the acquisition of residents' skills and adaptive behaviors, and promoting competent interactions of residential staff with other residents in program implementation and behavior management. The QIDP will conduct and/or coordinate Individual Program Plans (IPPs), active treatment meetings, and related active treatment material as well as activities related to the admission and discharge of clients within an ICF/IDD Facility.
Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university with major coursework in social work, rehabilitation counseling, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology, audiology, psychology, sociology, special education, dietetics, or a related human services field. One year of experience working directly with persons with intellectual disabilities or other developmental disabilities is also required.
