Job description

Under the direction of the work site supervisor and vocational rehabilitation staff member the career development aide is responsible for meeting the demands of the job in the work site they are assigned as they participate in the Vocational Rehabilitation Dept's Career Development Program (CDP).


1. CDP Participants are expected to assist the JFK Health system worksite supervisors in all tasks agreed to with the Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor. 2. Participate in weekly individual and group counseling with Vocational Rehabilitation staff. 3. Other duties and/or projects as assigned. 4. Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior. The purpose of the position is for work hardening of the participant to prepare them for future employment opportunities.


Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: 1. Follow a minimum of 1 or 2 step directions. 2. Respond to directions of worksite supervisor or designee. 3. Demonstrate the ability to commute to the worksite and navigate safely through the hallways.
