Location: Washington, DC (Hybrid, 4 days a week)

The Opportunity:
Want to help drive much-needed change in American politics, policy and the Jewish community when it comes to Israel/Palestine? Do you believe there has to be balance and nuance in the polarized debate over one of the toughest and most divisive issues in American politics? J Street is looking for a Multimedia Operations Assistant to keep our systems and structure moving, pull metrics and data that help us analyze our performance and improve our presence on social media, and draft content for social media and Substack.
Responsibilities:
  • Managing the backend of our website
    • Creating new pages
    • Troubleshooting if something goes wrong
  • Managing the backends of any webinars or J Street Leader meetings
  • Gathering metrics and analytics for our Substack, podcast, social media, and website
  • Assisting with outreach to Substack guests and social media creators
  • Maintaining our tracking system for our Substack/podcast schedule and guest outreach and social media influencer outreach
  • Helping out with other projects as needed, especially:
    • Drafting video scripts
    • Drafting blog posts or long-form content
    • Drafting social media content and posts

Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of experience in website editing or development, preferably with experience in Drupal and WordPress
  • Experience in writing very basic code or editing code in HTML, CSS, or Java
  • A deep interest in digital analytics and data collection
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • A curiosity to solve problems and find solutions

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this role is $56,000 - $61,000. Pay and title are set according to J Street's Collective Bargaining Agreement.
