Job description

Step into a role where you'll help shape the future of finance. As part of our Finance Transformation team, you'll collaborate with CFOs, finance leaders, and executive clients to solve their most complex challenges. Leveraging Deloitte's unmatched resources and deep industry insights, you'll deliver innovative, market-driven solutions that modernize finance functions, elevate performance, and drive meaningful organizational change. Join us to empower clients to become strategic business partners, manage risk, and unlock new levels of financial and operational excellence.

Recruiting for this role ends 09/30/2026.

As a Manager and Governance & Standards Lead within our Finance Transformation Tech Enablement team, you will establish the frameworks, guardrails, and operating standards that enable the Tech Enablement team to scale consistently and with quality. You will own cross-workstream consistency, risk management practices, and the governance structures that underpin platform delivery.

Work You Will Do

Frameworks & Standards Development

  • Design and implement governance frameworks, delivery standards, and quality guardrails for the Tech Enablement team across all workstreams.
  • Establish and maintain documentation standards for solution architecture, process flows, integration designs, and AI/automation outputs.
  • Define cross-team consistency requirements-templates, naming conventions, reuse patterns, and review checkpoints-to reduce rework and accelerate delivery.
  • Own the team's operating model documentation, including onboarding guides, delivery playbooks, and escalation protocols.

Risk, Controls & Compliance

  • Identify, assess, and communicate delivery and technical risks across all active workstreams; develop and track mitigation plans.
  • Ensure platform solutions meet finance-specific compliance requirements, including SOX controls, audit trails, access controls, and data retention policies.
  • Partner with technical architects and process leads to embed control points into solution designs (approvals, segregation of duties, auditability).
  • Lead readiness assessments for platform deployments, ensuring quality gates are met before production releases.

Cross-Workstream Coordination

  • Serve as the integration point across US and offshore workstreams to ensure alignment on standards, timelines, and dependencies.
  • Facilitate governance forums, design reviews, and quality checkpoints; escalate blockers proactively.
  • Track and report on team-level KPIs, delivery metrics, and quality indicators for leadership visibility.

Team Development

  • Mentor team members on governance, documentation, and quality practices.
  • Champion continuous improvement of the team's delivery operating model as the team scales.

The team

Our Finance Operate offering provides ongoing operation of the Finance function as an extension of Deloitte's Finance Transformation Advise and Implement offering portfolio. The team works across finance strategy, process, operations, and technology to help organizations enable scalable finance outcomes. Professionals in this practice support delivery in complex environments while helping clients advance modernization across Finance Operate capabilities.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Finance, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in technology delivery, consulting, or program management, with demonstrated ownership of governance and standards functions.
  • Strong understanding of risk management, quality assurance, and compliance frameworks in a technology or consulting context.
  • Experience developing and enforcing documentation, delivery, and quality standards across distributed teams.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and organizational skills; proven ability to work across senior stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with finance-specific compliance and controls requirements (SOX, audit trail, access control frameworks).
  • Ability to travel 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available

Preferred

  • PMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe, or related program management/delivery certifications.
  • Experience in managed services or Finance Operate delivery environments.
  • Knowledge of AI/automation governance considerations (model risk, auditability, bias mitigation).
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence).

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $128,000-$252,000.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
