Finance Director Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the F&I team to achieve department goals while maintaining a high level of guest satisfaction

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with a wide network of lenders to secure the best rates and terms for our clients

  • Oversee the presentation and sale of financing, service contracts, and ancillary products

  • Ensure 100% compliance with federal, state, and local regulations throughout the contracting process

  • Review and manage the "Contracts in Transit" (CIT) list to ensure timely funding and accurate accounting

  • Collaborate with Sales Managers to streamline the deal-to-delivery process

Finance Director Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in automotive F&I management or a Director-level role

  • Extensive knowledge of dealership DMS systems (CDK, Dealertrack, or Reynolds & Reynolds)

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate a team

  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills

Corporate requirements: Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver's license and clean driving record, able to pass a criminal background check, and a pre-employment drug screen.
