Location: 1307 S. 900 W. SLC, UT | Type: Full-Time | FLSA: Exempt
Utah Community Action is looking for an energetic, relationship-focused Director of Development to lead fundraising efforts that power life-changing programs and strengthen communities across the State.

What You'll Do
As our Director of Development, you'll lead and grow a dynamic fundraising strategy that supports the organization's mission and long-term sustainability. You'll work closely with agency leadership, community partners, donors, and the Development Team to expand resources and elevate our impact.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Developing annual and multi-year fundraising plans
  • Leading donor engagement, major gifts, grants, sponsorships, and stewardship efforts
  • Creating strategic campaigns with measurable goals and timelines
  • Overseeing grant prospecting, writing, reporting, and compliance
  • Supporting agency-wide strategic planning and community needs assessments
  • Representing the agency at meetings, presentations, and special events
  • Collaborating with leadership to strengthen program growth and sustainability
  • Coaching and supporting the Development Team

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Nonprofit fundraising experience
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience
  • Grant development experience
  • Public speaking and event planning experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree
