Description:

The Director of Fund Development supports the Vice President of Fund Development in leading, implementing, and managing strategies to grow the organization’s fundraising efforts. This role plays a pivotal part in advancing the mission by driving individual giving, securing major gifts, cultivating corporate and community partnerships, and managing donor stewardship programs.

The Director collaborates closely with the VP, senior leadership, and cross-functional teams to achieve annual revenue goals and build long-term relationships with key stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities


Strategic Fundraising & Planning

-Support the VP in developing and executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy aligned with organizational goals.
-Manage select fundraising initiatives, campaigns, and projects to meet established revenue targets.
-Track and report on fundraising performance metrics, trends, and opportunities.

Donor Relations & Stewardship

-Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, prospects, and corporate partners.
-Lead stewardship activities to ensure donors feel valued and connected to the organization’s mission.
-Collaborate with the VP to develop donor recognition and engagement strategies.

Grant & Sponsorship Development

-Identify and research new grant and sponsorship opportunities.
-Partner with the VP and development team to write proposals and manage reporting requirements.
-Maintain relationships with funding partners and ensure compliance with funding agreements.

Events & Campaigns

-Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of select fundraising events and campaigns.
-Collaborate with marketing and programs teams to maximize visibility and donor engagement.
-Monitor event ROI and implement strategies for continuous improvement.

Team Collaboration

-Supervise development interns, and volunteers as assigned.
-Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate fundraising strategies into organizational priorities.
-Serve as an ambassador for the organization at community events and donor functions.
