Job description

Opportunity
  • Conduct and analyze business operations and strategies to identify new opportunities, market insights, business opportunities, including analysis of customer budgets, capabilities required, current customer preferences, competitive environment assessments, and incumbent strengths and weaknesses
  • Support Business Development, Capture Manager, and Proposal Managers in responding to Request for Information (RFI)/Request for Proposal (RFP) notices, develop proposal templates, capture supporting matrices, participate in pipeline reviews, opportunity gate reviews, technical writing, and proposal reviews
  • Contribute to market intelligence database by developing a thorough understanding of the federal contracting arena, to include large and small businesses
  • Edit, standardize, and revise material prepared by other staff members
  • Meet deadlines, adhere to project plans, ensure any conflicts are brought to the attention of the management team, multi-task, and work on several projects simultaneously
  • Create and implement strategies to promote IMG corporate products and services
  • With leadership direction and guidance, develop and execute marketing and communication approaches
  • Assess, create, manage, and update IMG social media content
  • Assist with website development and maintenance
  • Assist in business intelligence activities including research for proposals and marketing, communicate insights across the various HQs departments
  • Analyze and present collected data point trends to improve corporate win strategies

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree, preferred in related business or technical field
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience supporting Business Development activities
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook as well as CRM tools
  • Ability to structure, facilitate, and lead weekly/monthly meetings with various levels of staff
  • Ability to interact and network effectively with all levels of staff, including senior leadership, both internally and on the client site
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
  • Capability to perform tasks independently, with minimal supervision, and proactively anticipate emerging work requirements
  • Ability to prepare an outline from a set of requirements and write tailored content targeted to the appropriate audience
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends during surge periods.

Desired Skills/Experience
  • Understanding of Shipley methodology for business development, capture and proposal support
  • Business Development Training or Capture Management (e.g., Shipley Associates)
  • Proficiency using collaboration and document repository tools; ability to serve as a backup SharePoint administrator

Clearance
Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a government security clearance
