Job description

Company Overview: Established in California in 2013, Green Water and Power has rapidly grown to operate in over 25 states, positioning itself as a leader in the sustainable energy sector. Named the #1 electric vehicle (EV) installer in America, we take pride in having deployed more than 11,000 EV chargers and completed approximately 5 megawatts (MW) of solar energy projects.
As an EVITP (Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Training Program) certified turnkey engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) firm, we leverage our in-house expertise to efficiently manage and execute large-scale projects. Our dedication to sustainability and quality extends beyond project completion; we also provide comprehensive operation and maintenance services to ensure optimal performance for the projects we develop, as well as for third-party installations.
Job Overview: The Business Development Associate will be a professional focused on driving company growth by identifying new sales opportunities, building client relationships, and researching market trends. Working closely with the sales and marketing teams, this individual will generate leads, nurture prospects, and support strategic initiatives to expand market presence.
NOTE: This is a full-time in office position with no flexibility for remote or hybrid option.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Growth & Market Development
  • Identify new regional and national market opportunities.
  • Proactively analyze market trends, competitor activity, and shifts in industry regulations to identify untapped revenue streams.
  • Translate high-level market data into actionable insights that inform our expansion roadmap.

Develop & Execute Growth Strategies
  • Design and implement comprehensive go-to-market plans that align with our long-term business objectives.
  • Own the end-to-end execution of these strategies, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to pivot or scale as necessary.

Qualifying leads
  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline by rigorously vetting prospects against our target customer profile.
  • Prioritize opportunities based on growth potential, alignment with our capabilities, and long-term profitability.

Financial & Operational Oversight
  • Oversee grant and rebate applications
  • Lead the lifecycle of funding opportunities, from initial identification and eligibility assessment to the final submission of high-quality proposals.
  • Maintain compliance with reporting requirements and ensure all documentation accurately reflects project outcomes to maximize successful funding.

Client Success & Relationship Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for our most critical partners, ensuring their needs are met and our service delivery remains exceptional.
  • Manage contract renewals, upsell opportunities, and issue resolution with a focus on retention and lifetime value.
  • Developing strong rapport with clients
  • Foster deep, trust-based relationships by acting as a consultant rather than just a vendor.
  • Listen actively to understand the nuanced pain points and long-term goals of clients, leveraging those insights to craft bespoke, mutually beneficial contract terms.

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in an administrative, sales support, or customer-facing role
  • Familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Interest in sustainability, clean energy, or the EV/solar industry a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Marketing, or any related field.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to develop strategic plans.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently as well as in a team setting.

Benefits:
  • Comprehensive health, dental and vision benefits package.
  • Retirement savings plan
  • Opportunities for professional growth and development in a cutting-edge industry.
  • Collaborative and inclusive work environments that values diversity.
  • Opportunity to make a significant impact on the transition to sustainable energy solutions.
  • Paid training.

Compensation:
  • This is a full-time position with a salary range of $75,000-$100,000 annually.
