Job Description
We are seeking a Business Development Associate to increase CRYOPDP's client base in the United States and to develop and retain an existing business portfolio.
Responsibilities
  • Develops and generates new business leads through prospecting, cold-calling, and face-to-face meetings.
  • Contacts prospective accounts, provides technical and administrative product information, coordinates presentations, and supports proposal generation.
  • Qualifies sales opportunities using the CRYOPDP resource network.
  • Drives internal sales and customer relationship teams to collaborate for a cohesive, global solution.
  • Accelerates implementation of new business to ramp up revenues while ensuring customer commitment.
  • Sets and drives the program and project teams to ensure efficient, full implementation of the client agreement with a high return on investment in mind.
  • Presents new and existing client opportunities to the pricing team.
  • Defines and implements action plans with the customers when commitments are not in line with our agreements.
  • Prepares client-specific presentations and other data to respond to client needs.
  • Prioritizes business portfolio in meaningful segments to align resources by the US Business Development Director.
  • Analyzes relationships with key decision makers to understand their key business issues as well as assessing the competitive situation.
  • Develops a business plan for each client with proposed strategy, objectives, and value proposition with approval by the US Business Development Director.
  • Defines a plan for key decision makers and sets a schedule with key, relevant US CRYOPDP members.
  • Organizes review committees with customers to develop a mutual trust-based relationship with key decision-makers at different levels within the organization cross functionally.
  • Coordinates and contributes to any contract modification and ensures final validation according to the sales policy with the legal team.
  • Leads and controls the feasibility of the prepared offer and contracts.
  • Leverages DHL global network and infrastructure as a competitive differentiator when presenting to prospects.
  • Positions CRYOPDP's combined capabilities (cold chain expertise + DHL scale) against primary competitors.
  • Reports agreement conclusion to the organization and controls the implementation through appropriate procedures and planning.

Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree, required.
  • 1-3 years sales experience in logistics/healthcare field, required.
  • Experience with Biopharma, Life Science, Diagnostic Labs or related business, required.
  • Direct client-based sales experience, required.
  • Travel time ranging from 60-70%, required.
