Position Summary

The Assistant D.U.G. Manager supports the D.U.G. Manager in overseeing all aspects of the Drive Up & Go operation. This position helps ensure efficient order fulfillment, exceptional customer service, associate development, inventory accuracy, and achievement of department goals. The Assistant D.U.G. Manager assists in leading the team while maintaining operational excellence and a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities Department Operations
  • Assist in managing daily Drive Up & Go operations.
  • Oversee order picking, staging, and delivery processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Monitor workload and staffing needs throughout the day.
  • Ensure online orders are completed according to company productivity and quality standards.
  • Assist with execution of company programs, promotions, and operational initiatives.
Customer Service
  • Deliver outstanding service to online and in-store customers.
  • Ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and ready within scheduled timeframes.
  • Handle customer inquiries, concerns, substitutions, and special requests professionally.
  • Promote a positive shopping experience and maintain strong customer satisfaction scores.
  • Assist with resolving service-related issues quickly and effectively.
Leadership & Team Development
  • Assist with training, coaching, and development of D.U.G. associates.
  • Provide daily direction, communication, and support to team members.
  • Help create a positive, productive, and customer-focused work environment.
  • Support performance management and accountability efforts.
  • Assume department leadership responsibilities in the absence of the D.U.G. Manager.
Inventory & Quality Control
  • Monitor product availability and communicate inventory concerns.
