Job description

Ophthalmic Assistant (Scribe)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with patient care, including exam preparation and minor procedures
  • Operate and maintain ophthalmic equipment (visual field tests, OCT, slit lamp)
  • Document physician findings and maintain accurate medical records
  • Perform administrative duties and act as a liaison between physicians and patients
  • Document quality measures and fulfill government mandates

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (college courses preferred)
  • Medical terminology knowledge (preferred)
  • Basic math skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication abilities

Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
