Job description

Role: Sr Developer (SQL / Data, AWS, analytics)

Location: Rockville, MD or Tysons, VA (3 days onsite per week)

Role: Seeking Analytics engineer with strong SQL/AWS who will think about how to engineer / transform data into more meaningful analytics

*Not an ETL developer or 'keep the lights on' engineer role

*Probably not a pure BI engineer

Possible profiles: Hybrid data analyst/engineer, data engineer, SQL developer, data/cloud engineer, analytics engineer, AWS data engineers

Must have's:

  • Strong SQL background
  • Strong AWS ß Have one of these in order of priority: Athena ...or RDS...or Hive (AWS based data querying)
  • Strong analytical background: Know how to transform data/analytics and related solutions

Nice to have's:

  • Python, AI, CI/CD

Space: Modernization phase: Will support Diver and scale up into other applications

JD: Senior role focused on delivering analytics, dashboards, and insights using existing enterprise data. Works across SQL and AWS (Athena, RDS, Hive) to enable business decision-making through reliable and scalable reporting solutions. Not an ETL/data pipeline role.
