Job Summary:
Mandolin is a company focused on revolutionizing healthcare by leveraging AI to improve patient access to groundbreaking treatments. As an Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of engineers, ensuring the delivery of robust systems while fostering a strong engineering culture and driving technical excellence.
Responsibilities:
• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers building core platform functionality and AI workflows
• Partner closely with Product, Design, and Forward Deployed Engineering to prioritize work and drive execution
• Maintain a high bar for technical design, system architecture, and engineering quality
• Help scale our engineering culture and team through recruiting, onboarding, and performance development
• Foster a fast-paced but sustainable environment where engineers are empowered to do their best work
• Contribute to strategic planning and help shape Mandolin’s technical roadmap as we expand into new verticals
Qualifications:
Required:
• 5+ years of engineering management experience in a fast-paced environment
• Track record of leading teams that ship complex, production-grade systems
• Strong technical background with the ability to go deep in backend systems, infrastructure, or AI/ML tooling
• Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and customer-facing teams
• Excellent communication, prioritization, and organizational skills in ambiguous, fast-changing contexts
