Job description

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Detox RN to provide high-quality care to patients undergoing withdrawal and substance use treatment. This role focuses on monitoring, stabilization, and supportive care in a structured detox or behavioral health setting.


Schedule

  • Per Diem
  • 12โ€hour shifts
    • 7:00 AM โ€“ 7:00 PM


What Youโ€™ll Do

  • Assess and monitor patients experiencing drug and/or alcohol withdrawal
  • Administer medications per protocol (including CIWA/COWS protocols)
  • Provide ongoing patient education and emotional support
  • Monitor vital signs and recognize signs of acute withdrawal complications
  • Collaborate with providers, behavioral health teams, and case management
  • Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation

Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (stateโ€specific or compact, as applicable)
  • Behavioral Health / Psychiatric nursing experience preferred
  • Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a structured inpatient environment

Preferred Experience

  • Inpatient psychiatric, detox, or dualโ€diagnosis experience
  • CPI certification or willingness to obtain
