Job description

The IT Applications Administrator is primarily responsible for working with internal customers on application and existing work process issues, along with new process development initiatives. 

What you will be responsible for:

  • Provide Tier 1 and 2 phone, email and chat-based support for users for various systems, including e-mail, LAN/WAN, user account administration, Active Directory, Virtualization system, standard desktop images and applications, etc.

  • Ensures backup, recovery, and data restoration for customers during upgrades or when a problem with the system is diagnosed

  • Work with internal customers to identify issues and provide timely resolutions

  • Consistently communicating with customers and team members

  • Review and resolve server and networking issues

  • Provide technical assistance to end users for various programs

  • Automate redundant tasks and improve processes

  • Escalate issues when necessary

  • Collaborate with other IT professionals on intradepartmental projects.

  • Perform other duties as assigned

What you will need to be successful in this role:

  • Associates degree plus four years of experience in a similar role; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Preferred Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science degree in related field

  • Minimum of two years' experience in internal customer and end user support roles

  • Minimum of two years' experience in software application administration or development

  • Proficient with technology (hardware, software, terminal services)

  • Intermediate presentation, publishing and reporting skills in MS applications including MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word

  • Strong IT customer service skills for supporting end user application issues

  • Experience with Technical Publication content management systems, Trax MRO ERP software, and ITAR EASE a plus

Compensation:

The anticipated salary range for this position is $48,000 to $58,000 annually. This range reflects the base salary for candidates who meet the requirements of the role, including experience, education, and location. AAR offers a competitive benefits package, including medical/dental/vision/life/and AD&D insurance, 401(k) savings plan with employer match, paid time off and holiday pay, as well as opportunities for professional development and growth.
