We're currently seeking a passionate and skilled IT Technician – Tier 2 to join our team and contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality, engineered solutions to our customers worldwide. In this role you will be responsible for providing advanced technical support within a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on escalated desktop, network, and systems support, partnering with Tier 1 staff and other IT team members to ensure stability, performance, and continuous improvement of IT services.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 2 technical support for on-site and remote users, resolving escalated issues related to Windows systems, hardware, software, and network connectivity.
  • Diagnose and remediate complex desktop, laptop, printer, phone, and peripheral issues in office and manufacturing areas.
  • Support and troubleshoot Active Directory user accounts, permissions, group policies, and physical access systems.
  • Assist with server support, patching, upgrades, and routine maintenance.
  • Install, configure, and maintain software and hardware following company standards.
  • Partner with Tier 1 support to provide guidance, escalation handling, and knowledge transfer.
  • Participate in IT projects including system upgrades, hardware refreshes, software implementations, and testing.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation including system configurations, procedures, and user guides.
  • Develop and deliver user training materials and hands-on instruction as needed.
  • Evaluate new hardware and software solutions and provide recommendations for standardization and improvement.
  • Travel periodically to remote satellite locations as required.

Required Technical Skills

  • Windows desktop and server operating systems
  • Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365 administration
  • Active Directory and user access management
  • Network connectivity, troubleshooting, and basic security concepts
  • Desktop, laptop, printer, and peripheral hardware support
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of progressively responsible IT support experience, including Tier 2 or escalation-level support.
  • Experience supporting Windows environments and enterprise user bases.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Education and Certifications

  • Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft certifications (MTA/MCP).
