INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIST I INFORMATION MANAGEMENT OFFICER (IMO)

Location: Fort Sill, Oklahoma


Position Description (PD)

The Information Technologist I (Information Management Officer IMO) provides Tier I/II IT support services for SIPRNet, NIPRNet, LAN/WAN, WLAN, and Microsoft 365 enterprise environments in support of the Fires Center of Excellence (FCoE). The IMO delivers desktop support, account management, system troubleshooting, and connectivity support in a Microsoft Windows 11 and Microsoft 365 enterprise environment. The IMO supports both classified and unclassified networks in accordance with Army cybersecurity and configuration management policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide client support in Microsoft Windows 11 and Microsoft 365 environments
  • Troubleshoot hardware/software issues (desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, MFDs)
  • Perform PC imaging and device configuration
  • Manage user/group accounts and password administration
  • Support Microsoft Intune device management
  • Diagnose LAN/WAN connectivity issues
  • Maintain documentation and work orders in AESMP
  • Support classroom training automation systems
  • Maintain CE training for supported systems
  • Provide support within classified network environments in compliance with Army cybersecurity and information assurance policies
  • Perform PC imaging, workstation deployment, and lifecycle refresh activities
  • Administer user and group accounts, permissions, and password resets within enterprise environments

Position Qualifications

  • Associates degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related technical field

OR

  • Minimum three (3) years of technically related experience in desktop support or network administration
  • Minimum two (2) years of client support in Microsoft Windows-based enterprise environment
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, OneDrive, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Teams)
  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving desktop and connectivity issues
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical information to non-technical users
  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking principles
  • Must possess and maintain a SECRET clearance (final eligibility) prior to starting performance
  • Must meet applicable DoD 8570/8140 baseline certification requirements (e.g., IAT Level II for elevated network rights) and maintain required Computing Environment (CE) certifications in accordance with Army cybersecurity policy
