Job description

We are looking for an experienced Help Desk/Desktop Support Analyst to provide hands-on technical support in Jackson, Tennessee. This Long-term Contract position is fully onsite and suited for someone who can independently resolve desktop, software, and connectivity issues in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. The role supports daily operations for a sizable user base while contributing to workstation deployments, technical improvements, and end-user service excellence.
Responsibilities:
• Deliver onsite technical assistance for employees by diagnosing and resolving desktop, application, and device-related issues across the facility.
• Support Windows-based workstations, including troubleshooting operating system problems, user incidents, and general endpoint performance concerns.
• Prepare, configure, install, and replace desktop and laptop equipment to meet business and user needs.
• Perform hands-on maintenance of computer hardware, peripherals, and related components to restore functionality quickly.
• Assist with Microsoft 365 user support and help resolve account, application, and productivity tool issues within Microsoft environments.
• Investigate basic network and connectivity problems, identify likely causes, and escalate more complex infrastructure matters when needed.
• Provide limited support in virtualized environments and coordinate with specialized IT teams for advanced technical resolution.
• Document support activities carefully, including security-related incidents, and maintain accurate service records and ticket updates.
• Collaborate with corporate technology teams and other support groups on escalations, system enhancements, and endpoint upgrade efforts, including Windows 10 to Windows 11 deployments.• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in desktop support, technical support, help desk, or a similar IT support role is preferred.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and end-user technical issues with minimal supervision.
• Practical experience supporting Windows 10 and Windows 11 environments in a workplace setting.
• Strong knowledge of PC hardware, peripherals, workstation setup, repair, and replacement processes.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and experience assisting users in Microsoft-based environments, including Active Directory or Azure exposure.
• Working understanding of basic networking concepts and common connectivity troubleshooting steps.
• Strong communication and customer support skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fully onsite environment.
• A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
