Serfilco Ltd, a worldwide leading manufacturer and supplier of pumps and filters to chemical processing industries currently has a vacancy for an IT Support Associate in our Northbrook, IL facility. An overview of our products is available at www.serfilco.com.


OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To provide daily support to end-users, assisting with system maintenance, and helping maintain secure and reliable IT operations. Working under the direction of Corporate IT and alongside service providers, the position supports routine tasks, basic troubleshooting, system updates, and project activities.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Liaise with Corporate IT Manager, vendors, and service providers for technical support.

· Assist in installation, configuration, and maintenance of user devices (desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals) and business applications for all locations.

· Ensure all operating systems and software are up to date and functioning optimally.

· Assist with end-user support and training for all company applications and technology assets.

· Manage user accounts, permissions, and device configurations (i.e. Active Directory, O365).

· Execute IT-related procedures for onboarding and offboarding of employees, including account creation and hardware setup.

· Assist with documentation for infrastructure, systems, and processes and keep it up to date on a central documentation platform.

· Document maintenance for all computer systems and network infrastructure.

· Assist MSP with technical support and troubleshoot and resolve software, operating system, and networking problems.

· Communicate with internal customers: keeping them informed of progress, notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages.

· Help maintain information technology policies, procedures and standards and assess the needs of end-users.

· Support technical infrastructure, database systems and ERP systems that include planning, conversions, training, proper testing/validation, and delivery, including SQL scripting.

· Assists with system backups and performs data recoveries. Ensures security of company's database.

· Support IT projects with planning, scheduling, and monitoring progress, including software rollouts, hardware upgrades, and network enhancements.

· Collaborate with teams to define project scope, goals, timelines, and task assignments including manufacturing process.

· Track progress, follow up on deadlines, and escalate risks to leadership as needed.

· Maintain organized project documentation, including requirements, change requests, meeting notes, and status reports.


QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

· Associate’s degree in IT or technology-related fields

· Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing environment

· Strong Windows desktop support skills and basic networking knowledge

· Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and basic troubleshooting

· Basic knowledge of computer hardware and peripheral devices

· Understanding of Active Directory basics and user account management

· SSRS and Crystal reports is a plus

· Working knowledge of SQL database and SQL queries a must

· Must be a self-starter, highly motivated, and independent worker
