Job Overview

As the manager of the Advisory & Product Consulting Desk, you will build and lead a team of professionals who support our clients via phone and email. The desk offers a knowledge base for questions regarding all that LPL offers for fee-based solutions including platforms, products, annuities, strategies and pricing. The manager of the desk has responsibility for training, developing, and engaging team members in a manner consistent with LPL Financial’s values.

Responsibilities
  • Act as a “Player Coach” and lead by example, with the ability to field advisor calls and emails directly when necessary
  • Onboarding and training of new hires
  • Embody the firm’s mission and values by fostering a culture of engagement, diversity and inclusion
  • Utilize principles of continuous improvement and advisor feedback to streamline and enhance team operating procedures
  • Results focused, with a strong understanding of how to educate and reinforce
  • Establishing, communicating and reporting on ongoing metrics and targets for team members
  • Responsible for performance management and accountability of the overall team
  • Conducting recurring team meetings and 1:1’s with direct reports
  • Develop strategic partnerships with other team leaders and departments across LPL as appropriate
  • Responsible for working with department leadership on elements of the business and/or functional strategy implementation and management across department and company-wide functions or projects.

Requirements
  • 3-5 years’ previous experience within the financial services industry
  • Previous Leadership experience preferred
  • Positive, customer-focused attitude and demeanor with desire to provide outstanding service
  • Superior communications skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to cogently explain and discuss financial information to different audiences
  • Desire to contribute to the success and growth of an organization
  • Interest in continued development of analytics to measure effectiveness of team’s efforts
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Financial industry or service-related certifications are a plus
  • FINRA Series 7 and 66 strongly preferred (if not already held, passing exams to obtain licenses will be required soon after hiring)
Pay Range

$103,515.00 - $172,525.00

Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
