Position Summary
Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the City of Winter Springs! Volunteering is a great way to give back to the community, and we appreciate your desire to help us make a difference.
What does a volunteer do at the City? Volunteer duties may be general office work, such as copying, filing, scanning, data entry and providing information or assistance to the public. We also have other types of volunteers needed from time to time depending on the time of year and business needs. There are also opportunities at our Parks & Recreation Department, and the Winter Springs Senior Center.
What departments might I be able to volunteer for?
  • Administrative Support: Help with filing, data entry, and general office tasks.
  • Clerk's Office: Assist with records management projects and inventory.
  • Community Service Projects: Participate in initiatives that benefit local neighborhoods.
  • Customer Service: Assist customers, answer questions, and provide helpful information.
  • Events & Activities: Help the City run community events and seasonal celebrations.
  • Information Technology: Help IT team maintain assets and inventory. May assist with GIS mapping or asset tracking as needed.
  • Parks: Maintain City parks and recreation facility reservations.
  • Photography & Creative Services: Capture moments, design materials, or support social media.
  • Senior Center Programs: Engage with seniors at the City's Susie Coffman - Winter Springs Senior Center through activities & meals.
  • Sports & Recreation: Support various sports programs.
  • Summer Camp (May-August): Support summer camp activities and supervise campers.
  • Therapy Pool & Group Fitness Instruction: Provide group instruction for fitness classes using the therapy pool.
